Dear Muscle Shoals City Schools Parents/Guardians:
As our country journeys through a time of uncertainty, the Muscle Shoals Education Foundation Board of Directors hopes you and your families are staying safe and healthy.
During this time, teachers, support staff, and administrators are working with great diligence in very different circumstances to continue to meet the educational needs of MSCS students. There are not enough words of praise for these educators who are meeting unprecedented challenges as the 2019-2020 school year closes.
The Foundation Board would like to request your help in showing MSCS educators just how much they are appreciated. You can do so by recognizing an employee with a personal tribute and a yard sign that will be placed at their home.
To participate, please review the information below:
- One tribute and yard sign is a cost of $25. Your personal tribute, along with a yard sign, will be delivered to your designated employee by a foundation board member. The personal tribute message will also be posted on the Foundation’s website.
Personal Tribute Examples (or write something of your choice):
The John Smith Family honors all employees of Muscle Shoals City Schools. Thanks for what you do for the Muscle Shoals City School System.
or
John Smith honors Sally Smith. Thanks for being an awesome teacher.
- The black and red yard sign will include our Muscle Shoals “M” logo and will read Trojans Love Our Teachers, Support Staff & Administrators.”
- If you want to purchase more than one tribute/yard sign, you do not have to make donations separately. A donation of $100 will allow you to make four individual tributes and have each one delivered with a yard sign.
- You can pay for your tribute/yard sign by credit card, bank account debit, or by mailing a check to:

- Please visit the Foundation’s website at https://www.mscsfoundation.com/ and click on News & Events to complete the information for your tribute.
- Your tribute/yard sign will be delivered to your recipient beginning May 1, 2020.
Because all PTO spring events have been cancelled, funding to support teachers from PTO groups will be limited. Your participation in this endeavor is now more important than ever to help the Foundation fund classroom grants for the 2020-2021 school year. The deadline to participate is Friday, May 8, 2020.
These are extraordinary times but Muscle Shoals is blessed to have extraordinary teachers, support staff, and administrators. What an encouragement it will be to see yard signs displayed throughout the Shoals area! You can order a sign for your own home, too.
