Welcome seventh grade students and parents! My name is Bethany Woods.  To those of you who may not know me, I am a graduate of Lexington High School and the University of North Alabama.  I completed my bachelor's degree in 1999 in Secondary Education, specializing in the area of English Language Arts, and I earned a master's degree in Education Administration in 2006.  I have been teaching English for 22 years and have spanned grades 7 through 12.  I have also taught drama, speech, and journalism at different points throughout my time in the classroom. Before coming to Muscle Shoals Middle, I taught for seven years at Lauderdale County High School and eight years at Colbert County High School.  In addition to teaching at MSMS, I am the Drama Club sponsor and Shoals Spark sponsor.  My husband Wade and I live in Muscle Shoals with our three children: Jonah (age 17), Ella Rae (age 13), and Truitt (age 10).  We attend church at Highland Park Baptist Church and spend much of our time supporting our kids' love for sports and music. In what little time is left, I enjoy being outdoors, singing, and reading.
