My name is Melanie Hester. I am beginning my 14th year at Howell Graves and my 4th year as the Prefist teacher.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2001 from Athens State University. In December 2016, I received my Master's in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama.

I am married to Mark and we have been married for 23 years. Mark is an Engineer for AT&T.  We have two daughters.  Mallie is a Junior at UNA, and Maudie is a Freshman at Mississippi State. My girls both love school, and I am truly thankful for that!  I attend Grace Life Church of the Shoals in Muscle Shoals.  My hobbies include shopping, being with my family, reading, and looking for ways to improve my classroom and teaching.

I am excited for another great year here at Howell Graves.
