The First Class Pre-K Program at Howell Graves
The First Class Pre-K Program is Alabama's state funded voluntary program for 4 year old children who are residents of the State of Alabama. A First Class Pre-K classroom provides effective, high quality early childhood experiences that prepare Alabama's children for school success and lifelong learning. The program defines school readiness as: an enthusiasm for learning, an ability to function in a social setting, age-appropriate communication and problem solving skills,age-appropriate physical and emotional skills, and optimal health.

Bio
Hi! My name is Ashley Peck. I grew up in Florence, Alabama. I attended Brooks High School from kindergarten through 12th grade. Later in life I found my calling for teaching and attended Athens State University to obtain an Early Childhood degree.
This is my first year at Howell Graves and I am so blessed to be part of such a wonderful school system. This is my fourth year teaching in a First Class Pre-K classroom and I absolutely love it! Watching children learn through curiosity and exploration is one of the best parts of my job.
I enjoy hiking, fishing, reading, and serving for different events at my church. I am also a huge Alabama fan. Roll Tide!First Class Pre-K Auxillary Teacher
