Hello!

My name is Sheneta Smith, principal of Howell Graves. I am so excited to welcome all of you to our fabulous school where I have had the pleasure of being the principal for 13 years.  Before becoming principal, I worked as the Administrative Assistant at the Board of Education from 2005-2010. I began my career in Muscle Shoals as the Physical Education Teacher and Coach at Muscle Shoals Middle School in 1998. I currently hold an Education Specialist Degree in Administration that I acquired in 2007. I also received my Bachelor of Science in Education (1998), Masters in Arts in Education (2001), and Administration Certification (2004). I coached various sports in the Muscle Shoals City School system from 1998-2004.

I am thrilled to embark upon this educational journey with each of you and look forward to lasting memories that we will make with our students, staff, community and families. Equally important, this is going to be an engaging school year that will be filled with many innovative opportunities for students to grow academically and socially. It is an honor and privilege to serve this community and school system.
