Welcome to the Giraffe Room!

My name is Leslie Marquis, and I am beyond excited to be your child’s teacher! In 2010, I graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I completed my Master’s Degree in 2014 and later obtained an Early Childhood National Board Certification.

I am originally from Tuscumbia, AL but decided to stay in Tuscaloosa following graduation. I taught first grade at Northport Elementary School for 12.5 years. I am married to Shane Marquis and we have two kids, Fisher and Millie Kris. I love being with my family and spending time at the camp, crappie fishing.
