Webster Extended Day students spend the afternoons doing homework, playing in the gym, learning Zumba and going outside when the weather permits. Each week, they have special art days and physical fitness days.

The Muscle Shoals Middle School Tutoring Program students have been enjoying activities based on early engineering skills thanks to a Dependent Care Grant. Students have desinged and tested rockets, land rovers and zip lines over the past few weeks. The "Design to Space" program places a large emphasis on science, technology and math skills.

Howell Graves Extended Day Program offers a safe environment for children to make friends, have fun with literature and enjoy physical activity daily. Students will read through great children's literature and learn how to prepare food with the "Recipes in Reading" Program every Wednesday. Students will be introduced to painting, paper crafts and various art projects in Art each Tuesday.

McBride Extended Day is the perfect place for children to learn, grow and make friends. Each afternoon after snack, the students complete homework, participate in art projects and service projects, enjoy the computers and play in the gym or on the playground.

Our Extended Day Staff is filled with future educators. Students from the University of North Alabama and Northwest Shoals Community College show great dedication and bring fresh ideas to our extended day programs.
